Rural Journalism Institute of the San Luis Valley and its partner, Alamosa Citizen, will offer three workshops designed to help you hone your creative skills: collecting and editing audio, taking great photos, and editing video.There will be morning and afternoon sessions each day. Workshops are free of charge to participants.

José Carlos Fajardo
Jose Carlos Fajardo is a 30-year veteran photojournalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He’s a member of the team of journalists that won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News for coverage of the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland in 2016.

Kathy Walker
Kathy Walker is the long-time News Director of KOA Newsradio in Denver and now also serves as IHeartRadio’s Regional News Director for the Rocky Mountain Region. Kathy is a Mass Communications graduate of CSU-Pueblo and is also proud to be a Colorado native.

Hannah Eubanks
Hannah Eubanks is the web and video producer for AlamosaCitizen.com. She is a Colorado native and a proud graduate of the Adams State Theatre Department. Hannah has been editing video since she worked for her high school news broadcast. She now uses her skills in theater and video production to tell stories.
